Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 launches with new maps, weapons and balance changes

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone went live on 23 July 2026. The update adds three 6‑v‑6 multiplayer maps – the new Jubilee set in a Japanese festival town, and remastered versions of Frequency and Dig – and introduces a new point of interest, Drone Labs, on the Verdansk Warzone map.

Four new primary weapons arrive: the FG42 assault rifle, Gremlin SMG, Mammoth LMG, and the Mace melee weapon. Several existing arms receive balance adjustments, notably a nerf to the AN‑94 and tweaks to the DS20 Mirage and its Dual‑Fire kit. New Aftermarket Parts (AMPs) expand customization options across the game.

The patch also brings fresh content for Zombies (the Ediskallen Lighthouse survival map and a Directed mode for Kowakujō) and adds new abilities and assignments for Black Ops 7. A global release countdown listed start times for all major time zones, ensuring players worldwide can join the launch simultaneously.

Additional patches for the original Black Ops titles on PlayStation addressed input‑lag and host‑matching issues, but the primary focus of the rollout is the Season 5 overhaul.
