Calle 232 film begins national release in Cuba

The Cuban feature film ‘Calle 232’, directed by Rudy Mora, has begun its national theatrical release. The premiere featured a special presentation at the Cine Yara in Havana, attended by members of the cast and technical crew.

The film follows the story of a film director who, following an accident that leaves him with physical limitations, requires constant care. Amidst abandonment by family and friends, a young artisan decides to care for him. The production aims to highlight themes of solidarity and the importance of supporting vulnerable populations, particularly the elderly.

Cast members, including actress Laura Moras, noted that the film serves as a call to rediscover values and the desire to help those in need. The film will screen at Cine Yara on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September 20, before continuing its exhibition tour across various Cuban provinces.
