Calle 232 film premieres at Complejo Audiovisual Nuevo Mundo
The film ‘Calle 232’, a Cuban-Mexican fiction production directed by Rudy Mora, is premiering at the Complejo Audiovisual Nuevo Mundo in Camagüey. The film, which began its Cuban tour in September, previously participated in the 46th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, where it received the Asociación Quisicuaba collateral award.
The 90-minute feature follows Atila Romero, a film director who suffers a sudden illness that causes a radical loss of intellectual capacity. The narrative explores themes of population aging, vulnerability, and the responsibilities of care as the protagonist's social circle diminishes, leaving a young man named Abel to provide support at the risk of his own personal plans.
