Calle Larga councilors request investigation into hiring of former deputy

Five of the six council members in Calle Larga, Chile, have petitioned the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) to investigate the hiring of former deputy Claudia Mix. The councilors are seeking to clarify the legality of her role within the municipality led by Mayor Dina González.

Mix, a member of the Frente Amplio party, reportedly receives a gross monthly salary of approximately $3,900,000 CLP for providing technical support and advisory services in areas such as health, women, and family. The councilors have submitted various documents, including minutes, emails, and decrees, to the CGR to determine if there have been administrative irregularities, breaches of legality, or the improper use of public resources.
