Callejon releases new single ‘Smashburger’ ahead of 2027 album

German metalcore band Callejon has released a new single and music video titled ‘Smashburger’. The track serves as the second preview for their upcoming eleventh studio album, ‘Das Herz ist schwer’, which is scheduled for release on January 1, 2027, via Long Branch Records.

Described as a high-energy metalcore song, ‘Smashburger’ features a surreal comic-style music video created by frontman Bastian Sobtzick (BastiBasti). The song’s lyrics use the metaphor of a living burger driven by an insatiable hunger to provide social commentary on consumerism and monopoly capitalism.

With a career spanning twenty-five years, Callejon has established itself as a pioneer in the German-language metal scene, boasting over 1,000 concerts and seven consecutive top-10 placements in the official German album charts.
