CallMat halts layoffs following TIM activity extension

CallMat management and regional trade union representatives, including SLC CGIL, FISTEL CISL, UIL FPC UIL, and UGL Telecomunicazioni, met on October 23 to address job security concerns at the Matera site. The company confirmed that TIM is willing to extend activity volumes at the site, potentially through at least the first half of 2027.

As a result of this extension, CallMat will not initiate the previously proposed collective redundancy procedure. Additionally, the use of solidarity contracts will cease on November 1, ending the current regime of reduced working hours. While unions expressed satisfaction with these developments as a result of recent mobilizations, they noted that the extension is not a permanent structural solution and that uncertainties remain regarding the future of the CRM-BPO sector.
