Callum Newsham wins TCR UK championship at Brands Hatch

Callum Newsham secured the TCR UK title with a victory in the final race of the season at Brands Hatch. Driving a Hyundai, Newsham took the lead early after Max Hall had a slow start from pole position.

The race featured several incidents, including a collision between Jenson O’Neill-Going and Rod McGovern that triggered a safety car period. Max Hart, a primary championship contender, faced a ten-second penalty for exceeding the allotted time for car maintenance on the grid, which significantly impacted his ability to contest the title.

Newsham maintained his lead throughout the race to secure the championship. Brad Hutchison finished third in a Cupra, while Max Hart finished sixth after recovering from his penalty.
