Caltabellotta to receive 432,000 euros for waste management upgrades

The SRR Ato 11 Agrigento Ovest has announced a funding allocation of 432,000 euros to enhance waste management services in Caltabellotta. The funds, sourced from the PR FESR Sicilia 2021-2027 program, will be used to upgrade equipment at the Municipal Collection Center (CCR) on via Triocola and strengthen local waste sorting capabilities.

Vito Marsala, President of SRR Ato 11 Agrigento Ovest, stated that the upgrade is part of a broader strategy to link collection, processing, and material recovery. The goal is to create a territorial supply chain where separated waste is treated as a resource, thereby reducing final disposal needs. Marsala emphasized that providing accessible and functional infrastructure is essential to supporting citizens in their efforts to participate in sustainable waste management.
