Caltagirone bar suspended for seven days due to criminal activity

The State Police have suspended the operations of a bar in Caltagirone for seven days following an order from the Questore of Catania. The measure was taken under Article 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety.

Investigations conducted since August of last year revealed that the establishment had become a habitual meeting point for individuals with criminal records. These individuals were linked to various offenses, including drug dealing, extortion, theft, sexual violence, brawling, aggravated fraud, threats, and illegal possession of weapons. The police determined that the presence of these individuals posed a concrete risk to public order and security.
