Caltanissetta officials clarify university polyclinic development plans

The Mayor of Caltanissetta, Walter Tesauro, and the President of the University Consortium of Caltanissetta, Gianluca Tumminelli, held a press conference to address the development of a university polyclinic in central Sicily.

Tesauro addressed recent misconceptions regarding a parliamentary proposal to allocate one million euros to the ASP of Enna, clarifying that this funding does not equate to the establishment of a polyclinic in Enna. He emphasized that Caltanissetta possesses the necessary status as a Level II Emergency and Acceptance Department (DEA), a requirement he claims Enna lacks.

The administration expressed its commitment to protecting Caltanissetta’s central role in regional healthcare and university expansion, asserting that current regulations support the city's eligibility for the project.
