Caltepec hosts second Mezcal Fair to boost regional commerce

The second Mezcal Fair in Caltepec, Puebla, has been held to strengthen local commerce and tourism. The event brought together master mezcaleros and artisans to promote products that have gained recognition in national and international competitions.

Participating brands included Santo Legado, Duxeen, Real de San Luis, 60 Fierros, Mezcal Caltepec 52, Corazón de Acero, and Alma de Corcel. In addition to mezcal, the fair featured regional products such as onyx, medicinal plants, palm, textiles, clothing, and food.

Producers highlighted state support for equipment, training, brand registration, and product value addition. The administration of Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier emphasized the strategic importance of the agricultural sector for regional development and community wealth.
