Caltepec prepares for 2026 Mezcal Fair

Caltepec is preparing for its 2026 Mezcal Fair, an event designed to honor cultural heritage and support local indigenous communities and production. Scheduled for September 13 at the Municipal Market esplanade, the fair will feature 40 producers, 50 artisans, and 15 local brands, including several award-winning producers.

Visitors can purchase bottles priced between 500 and 600 pesos, while liters will range from 300 to 400 pesos. The event will include a gastronomic and artisanal corridor offering food made from local ingredients. Additionally, the fair will host the traditional 'Ruta del Mezcal,' a 25-kilometer recreational bicycle tour through the region's landscapes.
