Calvià partners with Evolution Mallorca Film Festival

The municipality of Calvià has entered a partnership with the 15th edition of the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) to promote the region as a key destination for audiovisual production and cinema tourism.

The collaboration includes several scheduled activities between September and November. Highlights include a festival presentation at the INNSiDE by Meliá Calvià Beach in Magaluf and drive-in cinema sessions at the Port Adriano parking area on October 23 and 24. On October 30, the Meliá South Beach will host an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Associació de Cineastes de les Illes Balears (ACIB), featuring professional meetings and screenings of films shot in Calvià.

Additionally, the Mallorca Go! initiative will host a session on November 4, leading international festival guests through various local sites to showcase the municipality’s potential as a filming location. Calvià Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual noted that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to diversify tourism and support the local creative industry outside of the peak season.
