Calvià town hall launches Calvianers website to preserve local memory

The Ayuntamiento de Calvià unveiled the official Calvianers website (www.calvianers.com), a digital platform that consolidates the audiovisual project’s first two editions. The site hosts the complete documentaries, biographies of the featured residents and a collection of historic photographs sourced from the municipal archive, local library collections and private donations. The initial editions focus on the neighbourhoods of Magaluf (2025) and Santa Ponça (2026), highlighting personal testimonies that trace the municipality’s evolution.

Mayor Juan Antonio Amengual described the portal as a recognition of the community’s effort and a tool to safeguard Calvià’s collective memory for future generations. Funded by the Sustainable Tourism Tax, the project will expand to cover additional neighbourhoods later this year.
