Calvin Harris joins Head Trip lineup after weather disruptions

The Head Trip dance festival in Indio, California, experienced significant weather disruptions during its first night due to Tropical Storm Rachel. Lightning warnings forced an early shutdown of the music at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, cutting short performances by Chris Lake and Fisher.

In response to the disruption, organizer Goldenvoice announced that Calvin Harris would join the Sunday lineup. This addition resulted in a historic second day featuring back-to-back sets from EDM icons Skrillex, Harris, and Swedish House Mafia. The festival, held at the Empire Polo Club, utilized a single-stage format designed to project video feeds to various satellite stations.
