Calzados Picón gains prominence through Spanish Royal Family

Calzados Picón, a family-owned footwear company based in Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, has gained prominence through its association with the Spanish Royal Family. Queen Letizia has frequently worn the brand's espadrilles, a choice influenced by foot health issues including Morton's neuroma, metatarsalgia, and a phalanx fracture, which necessitated lower heel heights.

In addition to the Queen, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía have also been seen wearing Picón models. While the company has spent nearly 50 years manufacturing for various luxury brands sold internationally, founder and CEO Santos Picón stated that the firm is now focusing on consolidating its own brand through local and online retail channels.
