Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III to captain Auburn-Baylor opener

The game marks the beginning of the Alex Golesh era for Auburn. Golesh noted that preparing for the matchup presents a unique challenge due to coaching changes on both sides. While Auburn is adjusting to a new regime, Baylor has undergone significant defensive staff changes, with head coach Dave Aranda stepping away from defensive play-calling duties to focus on program oversight. Joe Klanderman, formerly of Kansas State, has been hired as Baylor's new defensive coordinator.
