Cam Ward clashes with reporter over Titans preseason struggles

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward faced criticism from fans and media following a verbal exchange during a preseason press conference. When asked by Nashville-based podcaster Jared Stillman to assess his preseason performance, Stillman noted that Ward had not played well. Ward responded by stating, “I’m glad you don’t think so. That’s good. I assess it as, did we win the game, or did we lose a game?”

Ward has struggled through two preseason games, completing 13 of 24 passes for 126 yards with no touchdowns. Despite the statistical struggles, the Titans won both preseason contests. Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, suggested that the team is making progress by condensing the playbook and expects better results once the regular season begins.
