Camargo authorities seize suspected cryptocurrency mining farm

Authorities in Camargo, Tamaulipas, have seized a suspected cryptocurrency mining farm located in the El Sauz neighborhood. During a search conducted by the State Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de Tamaulipas), investigators discovered specialized technological infrastructure designed for mining operations.

The seized items include nine specialized computing units, specifically featuring Bitmain and Antminer branding, along with a laptop, high-power power supplies, networking equipment, Ethernet cabling, and advanced ventilation and air extraction systems.

In addition to the mining equipment, the investigation has been expanded to include the suspected theft of electricity. The seized assets have been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, which will conduct forensic examinations to determine the origin of the equipment, its operational methods, and any potential links to other criminal activities.
