Cambodia mining exploration reports copper and gold findings

Mining exploration activities in Cambodia have yielded significant geological findings for both Angkor Resources Corp. and Unity Metals.

Angkor Resources Corp. reported visual copper mineralization from its 2026 drill program at the Thmei North target within the Andong Bor license. The company observed chalcopyrite in metasedimentary rocks and intrusive rocks, noting that copper values increase near highly reactive wall rock. The drilling also revealed steep structural contacts between intrusive and sedimentary rocks. Additionally, pyrite-dominant mineralization was noted, suggesting potential gold presence.

Unity Metals has extended its O’Phlay gold discovery through deep drilling. A recent hole, 26DDCM005, returned 70.4m at 1.1g/t gold, reaching depths of at least 230m. This drilling has helped the company define the mineralized zone as a steeply dipping system approximately 45-50m wide, associated with magnetic anomalies in the region.
