Cambodia to host major international golf tournaments in 2026

Cambodia is expanding its tourism strategy to include high-value sports tourism, specifically targeting the international golf market. The Ministry of Tourism has entered a strategic partnership with Vattanac Golf Resort to host major international events in late 2026.

As part of a collaboration with the Legends Tour, Vattanac Golf Resort in Phnom Penh will host two significant tournaments. The Vattanac Legends Championship is scheduled for November 23–29, 2026, with tournament rounds from November 27–29. This will be followed by the Vattanac Tour Championship, the season finale of the Legends Tour, running from November 30 to December 6, 2026.

These events aim to position Cambodia as a competitive golf destination alongside regional neighbors like Thailand and Vietnam. The tournaments are expected to attract professional golfers, former major champions, and international influencers, showcasing the nation's hospitality and modern infrastructure.
