Cambodia trade reaches $44 billion in first seven months of 2026

Cambodia's total commodity trade reached $44.07 billion during the first seven months of 2026, representing a 21.3% year-on-year increase according to the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE). Despite the growth, the country recorded a trade deficit of $2.44 billion, an expansion from the $1.99 billion deficit seen during the same period last year.

China remains Cambodia's largest trading partner, with bilateral trade rising 23.9% to $13.63 billion. This includes $11 billion in exports to China and $12.52 billion in imports from China. The United States serves as the primary source of Cambodia's trade surplus, with bilateral trade increasing 32.2% to $94.2 billion, driven largely by strong exports in apparel, footwear, and manufactured goods.

Additionally, trade with Vietnam grew by 8.2%, reaching $5.35 billion.
