Camboriú and Balneário Camboriú launch R$ 95.2 million flood mitigation project

The municipalities of Camboriú and Balneário Camboriú have officially launched the bidding process for the implementation of the Multipurpose Floodable Park in the Rio Camboriú basin. The project, estimated to cost R$ 95.2 million, is designed to address two critical regional challenges: mitigating the impact of floods during periods of intense rainfall and increasing water availability for supply during droughts.

Local authorities stated that the initiative represents a strategic long-term solution for water security in the region. The project aims to protect the population from flooding while expanding water reservoir capacity for future generations.
