Cambridge Aerospace raises $300M at $3.4B valuation

Cambridge Aerospace, a UK-based defense technology startup, has secured $300 million in Series C funding, bringing its valuation to $3.4 billion. The investment round was led by US-based DFJ Growth and included participation from investors such as Lux, Accel, Lakestar, Never Lift, Ora Global, and Elad Gil & Co.

Founded less than two years ago, the company specializes in counter-drone and air defense technologies. Its current product lineup includes the Skyhammer drone interceptor and the Looking Glass radar system, with the Starhammer missile interceptor expected to enter the market in 2027. The company has already secured several contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence, including participation in the Low-Cost Effectors & Autonomous Platforms (LEAP) programme.

CEO Steven Barrett stated that the funds will be used to expand manufacturing capabilities to meet existing and new contracts and to support the development of next-generation capabilities. The company maintains an international presence with operations in Germany, Poland, Norway, Ukraine, and Australia.
