Cambridge Breast Center Receives Three-Year NAPBC Reaccreditation
The Cambridge Breast Center, part of Cambridge Health Alliance, has been granted a three‑year reaccreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program of the American College of Surgeons. The accreditation confirms that the center meets the highest national standards for comprehensive breast cancer care, covering prevention, screening, treatment, survivorship, and access to clinical trials and patient education.
Dr. Michelle Haslinger, director of the Cambridge Breast Center, said the reaccreditation reflects the centre’s commitment to multidisciplinary, evidence‑based care and continuous quality improvement. CHA, the first Massachusetts program accredited in 2009, also holds ACS Surgical Quality Partner status, underscoring its dedication to high‑quality surgical practices.
The recognition highlights the centre’s role in delivering integrated breast care to patients in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro‑north communities.
