Cambridge murder investigation: Third suspect arrested in July 4 shooting

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the July 4 murder of Xavier Bautista, a 32-year-old Cambridge Department of Public Works employee. Moises Pimentel, 23, of Boston, faces charges of murder, conspiracy, carrying a firearm without a license, and evidence tampering.

Prosecutors allege that Pimentel and 22-year-old Giovani Arroyo were among the masked men who confronted and shot Bautista as he was leaving his home in his work uniform. The attack occurred near the intersection of Broadway and Norfolk Street in the early morning hours. A third individual, 29-year-old Rayquon Brown, is accused of acting as a lookout and potential backup during the incident.

Following the shooting, the suspects reportedly fled in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck. Investigators also believe the defendants attempted to destroy evidence by discarding items into dumpsters. Authorities have stated there is no known connection between the suspects and Bautista, and the motive for the attack remains under investigation.
