Cambridge professor resigns amid plagiarism claims; third suspect charged in Canadian synagogue shootings
Professor Jason Arday has resigned from Jesus College at the University of Cambridge following allegations that he plagiarized portions of his PhD thesis. The university initially characterized the situation as a “vile campaign” against the professor before ultimately deciding to launch an investigation into the claims.
In Canada, York Regional Police have charged a third suspect in connection with shootings at synagogues in Vaughan and Toronto that occurred in March. The suspect faces multiple charges, including four counts of discharging a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime, and mischief related to religious property.
