Camerano honors Farfisa co-founder Silvio Scandalli

The town of Camerano has held a series of commemorative events to honor Silvio Scandalli, an accordion entrepreneur and co-founder of Farfisa. The initiatives, organized by Unitre Camerano and Pro Loco Carlo Maratti with municipal patronage, took place on October 9 and 10, 2026.

As part of the tribute, a commemorative plaque reproducing a special stamp was unveiled at the Farfisa Exhibition. This stamp was issued on July 7, 2026, by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and Poste Italiane as part of the ‘Excellences of the productive system and Made in Italy’ series.

A dedicated exhibition is currently hosted at the Church of Santa Faustina in via Maratti and will remain open until October 16. During the ceremonies, Mayor Oriano Mercante noted that Scandalli provided employment and a future for generations of residents in Camerano, helping to bring the town's name to the global stage.
