Cameron Carter-Vickers Returns to Celtic After Injury

American defender Cameron Carter-Vickers made his first appearance for Scottish Premiership champions Celtic in a 1‑1 preseason friendly against Shelbourne, playing 45 minutes after missing eight months with a ruptured Achilles tendon. The injury kept him out for the latter part of the title‑winning season, during which Celtic also secured the Scottish Cup. Carter‑Vickers said he was "good to get back playing football" and praised manager Martin O’Neill’s man‑management. Celtic will continue their preseason with matches against Sporting Lisbon, Middlesbrough and AC Milan before the league opens on August 3.

The club’s fan media also highlighted ongoing transfer interest, noting speculation around other players such as Camilo Durán and Mory Gbane, but the primary focus remains Carter‑Vickers’s comeback.
