Cameron Diaz Netflix action-comedy Bad Day set for December release
Netflix has announced that the action-comedy Bad Day, starring Cameron Diaz, is set to premiere on December 11, 2026. The streaming service also released first-look images from the production.
Directed by Jake Szymanski and written by Laura Solon, the film follows a single mother who attempts to fulfill a promise to her daughter during the most difficult day of her life. The ensemble cast includes Danielle Brooks, Rhenzy Feliz, John Higgins, Mark Duplass, Jessica Belkin, Ed O’Neill, Rob Corddry, Ben Schwartz, and Retta.
This project marks another collaboration between Diaz and Szymanski following their work on Back in Action. Diaz previously took a decade-long hiatus from lead acting roles before returning to the screen in 2024.
