Cameron Smith misses cut at French Open

Australian golfer Cameron Smith recently competed in the French Open on the European Tour to maintain competitive form ahead of the Australian summer schedule. Smith, the 2022 British Open champion, used the event to bridge the gap between the end of the LIV Golf season and his goal of winning a maiden Australian Open title.

Despite his efforts to stay in competition mode, Smith missed the cut at the French Open, finishing two-over par following double-bogeys on his final three holes. While Smith and other LIV Golf players remain excluded from PGA Tour events like the Presidents Cup, his peers Adam Scott and Ryan Fox are participating in the tournament in Chicago.
