Paul Thomas Anderson to tour Cameron Winter concert film
Director Paul Thomas Anderson will release a concert film titled ‘Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall,’ documenting a solo performance by the Geese frontman. Shot on 35mm and 16mm film, the movie is set to embark on a North American tour starting November 20, with initial screenings in New York and Los Angeles.
The film is co-produced by Benny Safdie and produced by Sara Murphy, Erica Frauman, and Maggie Ambrose, with Janus Films and Criterion handling the release. The performance captured features songs from Winter’s solo album ‘Heavy Metal,’ his ‘Singles’ EP, and several unreleased tracks.
In conjunction with the film, a live album titled ‘Live at Carnegie Hall,’ produced and recorded by Ariel Rechtshaid, is scheduled for release on October 9.
