Cameroon and Chad announce major economic and employment forums for 2026

Cameroon is set to host the first edition of the Digital Finance Salon (Safinum 2026) from November 26 to 28 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. Organized by the National Economic and Financial Committee of Cameroon (CNEF) under the patronage of the Minister of Finance, the summit aims to drive the digitalization of the national financial system. Key topics include mobile payments, financial cybersecurity, financial inclusion, blockchain, and fintech regulation.

Simultaneously, Chad has commenced preparatory work for the second National Employment Forum (FNE 2026), scheduled for November 10 to 12, 2026. The forum, themed ‘Youth Employment in Chad: Moving from Vision to Action!’, focuses on creating sustainable professional integration for young people. Organizing commissions have begun meetings to coordinate panels, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to connect youth with employers and training institutions.
