Togo, Cameroon, and Haiti launch youth internship programs
Several African nations are launching initiatives to enhance youth professional integration through various internship and training programs.
In Togo, the Agence nationale pour l'emploi (ANPE) has announced a call for applications for 1,200 student internships under the “Vacances actives en entreprise” project. Scheduled for September to October 2026, the program targets students aged 18 to 35 who are enrolled in recognized higher education institutions for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In Cameroon, the government, in partnership with the African Development Bank (BAD), is recruiting 93 young graduates for its seventh edition of professional internships. These roles cover diverse sectors including finance, agriculture, engineering, and IT, aiming to bridge the gap between higher education and professional reality.
In Haiti, the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) has launched a program for 18 graduating students from the Centre de Techniques de Planification et d'Économie Appliquée (CTPEA). The initiative is designed to strengthen the technical capacity of the Haitian public administration by preparing a new generation of technical leaders.
