Cameroon schedules US economic dialogue and launches Promote Africa 2026 trade showcase

Cameroon and the United States will hold a bilateral economic dialogue on August 27, 2026, aimed at improving the business climate, identifying trade opportunities and promoting investment partnerships. The meeting was announced by Cameroon's Transport Minister Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibèhè and U.S. Interim Chargé d’Affaires John G. Robinson, and will involve U.S. agencies such as the International Development Finance Corporation, the Export‑Import Bank and the U.S. Commercial Service.

In parallel, Cameroon is rolling out the Promote Africa 2026 initiative, a national pavilion that will showcase Cameroonian firms across sectors such as agritech, agro‑food, chocolate, and renewable energy at major international fairs in Paris, Canada, Shanghai and New York. The program seeks to connect local SMEs and large enterprises with global investors and partners, positioning Cameroon as a regional economic leader.

Both efforts are intended to deepen commercial cooperation, attract foreign investment and expand Cameroon’s presence in global markets.
