Cami Clark sought investment from Jeffrey Epstein for past ventures

Cami Clark, wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, previously sought investment from Jeffrey Epstein for her business ventures, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal and email records.

Clark, an entrepreneur who co-founded a women-oriented adult film company called Eddice, reportedly contacted Epstein in 2011 through an introduction by literary agent John Brockman. Emails indicate she shared film scripts and treatments with Epstein and inquired about his interest in investing in her businesses. Epstein ultimately declined to invest, citing his inability to fund sex-related content. Following the conclusion of her adult media venture, Clark also pitched a social dieting application to him.

While Clark holds no official position at Anthropic, she is described as a strategic advisor to Amodei. Reports highlight her influence in connecting the AI startup with high-profile investors, including former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who participated in Anthropic’s $1.24 billion Series A funding round. Her involvement in navigating political and investor relations comes as Anthropic prepares for a potential IPO.
