Camil reports 47.5% drop in net profit for Q2 fiscal 2026
Camil reported a 47.5% drop in net profit for its second fiscal quarter of 2026, falling to R$ 41.3 million compared to R$ 78.7 million in the same period last year. Net revenue also declined by 7.2%, reaching approximately R$ 2.8 billion.
The company faced pressure from falling international rice prices and reduced sales volumes, which contributed to a 10.1% decrease in EBITDA to R$ 225.3 million. Despite these challenges, Camil saw its gross margin improve to 24.7%, and its high-value domestic segment experienced a 14.1% growth in volume.
Analysts from BTG Pactual noted that while the company has not yet achieved a full recovery, there are signs of potential improvement. Factors such as rising rice prices, expense control, and possible interest rate cuts could favor future results. BTG Pactual maintains a buy recommendation for Camil shares, setting a target price of R$ 9.
