Camila Osorio advances in Memphis WTA 250 as Solana Sierra exits in first round

Colombian teenager Camila Osorio recorded a straight‑sets victory, 7‑5 7‑5, over Australian Storm Hunter in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Memphis, United States. It was Osorio's debut at the event after a 25‑day break from singles competition, and she will meet Russian Anastasia Zakharova in the second round.

In the same tournament, Argentine player Solana Sierra was defeated in the opening round by Russian Tatiana Prozorova, 6‑1 5‑7 6‑2. Sierra's loss ends her Memphis campaign early as she prepares for the upcoming hard‑court swing toward the US Open.
