Camila Zamorano headlines free boxing event in San Luis Potosí

On 22 August, San Luis Potosí will host the quarter‑final stage of the “México Tierra de Victorias” boxing tournament at the Arena Potosí. The free‑admission event features eight bouts, including the defending world champion Camila Zamorano, who will defend her WBC atom weight title. International fights are slated, such as former world fly‑weight champion Ángel “Ayala” Camaleón versus Filipino veteran Vince Paras.

The event is part of the Feria Nacional Potosina 2026 program and is supported by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona. Singer Santa Fe Klan will appear as guest of honor, having previously composed songs inspired by Zamorano. The tournament aims to promote Mexican boxing talent and provide exposure for upcoming pugilists, with the tournament winner earning a chance to fight on national TV channels TV Azteca and Televisa.
