Camilla Carbocci wins 13th Santarosa Pastry Cup

Camilla Carbocci of CAST won the 13th edition of the Santarosa Pastry Cup, a competition dedicated to the traditional Santarosa sfogliatella. Her winning creation, titled ‘Partenope On The Road’, featured a contemporary round format and a three-part composition inspired by Italian cities: a Naples-themed piece with pastry, wheat, and ricotta creams; a Rome-themed piece with white chocolate and Pecorino Romano DOP; and a Bari-themed piece with fig mousse and almond praline, all tied together with a citrus sauce.

The event, held across Conca dei Marini, Amalfi, and Agerola, also featured several special honors. Japanese pastry chef Sadaharu Aoki was named the Santarosa Ambassador in the World 2026/2027, receiving the title from Iginio Massari. Dario Nuti was awarded the SPC Pastry Chef 2026/2027 title, and Enrico Bartolini received the ‘Sfoglia… Conca – Racconti di dolcezza’ gastronomic-literary prize.

The competition focused on the theme of tradition evolving through international exchange, celebrating the history of the Santarosa pastry which originated in the 1600s in Conca dei Marini.
