Camilla Corsi wins ACS International Award for Agrochemical Research

Camilla Corsi, Head of Crop Protection Research & Development at Syngenta, has been named the winner of the 2026 American Chemical Society (ACS) International Award for Research in Agrochemicals.

Corsi is recognized for her leadership and contributions to the discovery of several key agricultural technologies, including the fungicide pydiflumetofen, the insecticides isocycloseram and spiropidion, and the nematicide cyclobutrifluram. These developments represent a new generation of crop protection treatments designed to manage diseases, pests, and nematodes across various crops.

A chemist by training, Corsi has been with Syngenta since 2004 and assumed her current leadership role in January 2025. Syngenta invests up to USD 2 billion annually in research and development and aims to launch at least 20 new proprietary innovations in crop protection and biologicals over the next decade.
