Camille Bened returns to biathlon training after ankle injury
French biathlete Camille Bened has successfully returned to roller skiing following a month-long recovery period caused by an ankle sprain. During her injury, Bened adapted her summer training by substituting running and roller skiing with extensive cycling.
As part of her training adaptation, she completed a personal challenge in the Haute-Maurienne region, involving a round trip to Val d'Isère that included two ascents of the Col de l'Iseran.
Bened recently participated in a timed training session in Bessans against French teammates and Finnish athletes. She noted that her performance was reassuring when compared to her previous year's benchmarks, observing that teammate Lou Jeanmonnot appeared to be in strong form.
