Camilo discusses fatherhood and new musical inspirations

Colombian singer Camilo has shared personal reflections on fatherhood and its influence on his creative work. During an appearance on the podcast ‘Lo que tú digas’ with Álex Fidalgo, the 32-year-old artist discussed the challenges of raising his daughters, Índigo and Amaranto, with Evaluna Montaner.

Camilo revealed that his new musical project, a 13-song album titled ‘Para cuando sean mayores’, was inspired by his experiences as a parent and the self-discoveries he has made since becoming a father. He expressed concerns about the long-term impact of his parenting, noting, “I wonder a lot what those things will be that they will talk about with their psychologist in 20 years, the things that I did wrong.”

The singer also spoke about the tendency to mirror parental behaviors, noting that he sometimes unconsciously adopts the stoic traits of his own father. He described how parenthood serves as a mirror for unresolved personal issues and highlighted the unpredictable nature of raising children.
