The “Caminhando com Maria” pilgrimage, a significant expression of Marian faith within the Diocese of Barretos, is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The 2026 jubilee edition is scheduled for October 12, with thousands of devotees expected to participate in honor of Nossa Senhora Aparecida. The event will begin at 5:00 AM, departing from the Bom Jesus church and traveling to the Cidade de Maria, where a mass will be celebrated.

Bishop Dom Milton Kenan Júnior noted that the anniversary serves as a moment to thank God for the generations that have maintained this tradition of prayer, song, and spirituality. The event will be broadcast by Rede Vida FM and O Diário Independente FM.
