Camino de Santiago pilgrims get essential gear tips and nearby village guide

A specialized travel agency, Tu Buen Camino, uses its TikTok channel to advise pilgrims on three often‑overlooked items for the Camino de Santiago: small pins or tweezers for hanging wet clothes and fixing zippers, fabric adhesive tape to prevent blisters, and earplugs for better sleep in hostels. Viewers also suggest an alcohol stove, metal matches, a needle and thread, and some even recommend carrying a lightweight tent for extra freedom.

A separate guide highlights seven picturesque villages within an hour’s drive of Santiago de Compostela—such as Ponte Maceira with its medieval bridge and the historic town of Padrón—encouraging walkers to extend their journey beyond the cathedral and experience rural Galician culture.
