Camino Nobilis pilgrimage route opens in Virovitica-Podravina County

The Virovitica-Podravina County has officially inaugurated a new section of the Croatian Camino network named ‘Camino Nobilis’. This new segment connects Suhopolje and Virovitica, offering a light, one-day walking route approximately 12 kilometers long.

The route is designed to be accessible to all ages and does not require prior hiking experience. The opening ceremony included a mass and a blessing for pilgrims at the Parish Church of St. Teresa of Avila in Suhopolje.

Camino Croatia aims to restore medieval pilgrimage routes across the country to integrate them into the broader European Camino network. The total Croatian route consists of 20 stages spanning over 3,000 kilometers, stretching from Dubrovnik to Međimurje. Currently, more than 15 stages are active in Croatia.
