Italy hosts antique markets and Saint Francis commemorative events

Various cultural and commemorative events are taking place across Italy. In San Benedetto del Tronto, the “L’Antico e le Palme” market returns from August 21 to 23. Organized by Brandozzi A. & C., the event features antiques, collectibles, and modern furniture in the city's pedestrian area between 17:00 and 24:00.

In celebration of the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis of Assisi, the “San Francesco nelle Terre dell’Olio e del Sagrantino” project holds trekking events in Bevagna. Scheduled for August 22 for adults and August 30 for children, these walks explore the spiritual and historical landscapes of the region.

Additionally, the “888 – Le donne cantano San Francesco” artistic pilgrimage is underway. This 376-kilometer journey, involving eight female artists, travels through Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Umbria to connect the Sanctuary of Curtatone with the Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, marking both the saint's legacy and the 80th anniversary of women's suffrage in Italy.
