Cammino Naturale dei Parchi celebrates ten years of territorial protection

The Cammino Naturale dei Parchi is celebrating ten years of territorial protection and sustainable design. To mark the anniversary, a series of institutional and hiking events are scheduled for the weekend of October 17 and 18, 2026.

On Saturday, October 17, a conference titled ‘10 Anni sul Cammino Naturale dei Parchi: da un’idea progettuale alla realtà odierna’ will be held at the Parco Regionale dell’Appia Antica in Rome. The event, sponsored by the Lazio Region, will feature technical contributions regarding the project's origins, scientific monitoring in the Monti Prenestini, and the role of tourism operators. A roundtable discussion will also address the future of ecotourism and the sustainable development of small villages.

On Sunday, October 18, the celebrations will continue with a public excursion organized by the Associazione per il Cammino Naturale, with support from the Lazio Region, Trekking Italia, the Municipality of Capranica Prenestina, and the Museo Civico Naturalistico dei Monti Prenestini.
