Camorim invests R$ 250 million in fleet expansion
Camorim Serviços Marítimos has announced an investment of over R$ 250 million in 2026 to expand and modernize its fleet. The investment includes four new azimuth tugboats, a Fast Supply Vessel (FSV), and one of the largest cable layers in Latin America.
This expansion aligns with a resurgence in the Brazilian naval industry and increased offshore demand for oil and gas support. Camorim currently operates 24 support vessels, including platform supply vessels, oil spill response vessels, and accommodation vessels.
The broader industry trend is supported by Petrobras, which signed R$ 11 billion in contracts in May for the construction and operation of offshore support vessels. Petrobras's 2026-2030 business plan also anticipates chartering 40 new vessels to renew its exploration and production support fleet.
