Italian police seize over 10 kg of drugs in coordinated raids across multiple towns

Carabinieri, police and the Guardia di Finanza conducted a series of intensified territorial controls in several Italian localities during June 2026. In Venturina Terme, authorities arrested two suspects and seized more than 4 kg of hashish, marijuana, cocaine and crack, along with cash and equipment. In the Lecce province, extra‑ordinary checks identified 4 685 people, seized 7 g of hashish and 2,4 g of marijuana and resulted in multiple fines and two criminal complaints. A prison raid in Rossano’s high‑security wing uncovered about 290 g of hashish and two concealed mobile phones; union representatives praised the operation, stating “Ai colleghi di Rossano vanno le nostre congratulazioni…”. In Valfabbrica, a 22‑year‑old was arrested after a search revealed 21 g of cocaine, 163 g of hashish, ketamine, MDMA and ecstasy, plus €7 200. Similar actions in Aversa, Torino, Porto San Giorgio, Rieti, Darfo, Petrella Salto and other towns resulted in dozens of arrests and the seizure of additional quantities of hashish, cocaine, marijuana and related cash, weapons and tools. The combined operations demonstrate an extensive crackdown on drug trafficking and related criminal activity throughout Italy.
